So how can I go about transferring all my books from the US account to my UK account? I am really worried about losing books and want some advice from anyone whip had a similar situation.
This is a nightmare for me as I've always loved the swiftness of kindle and I haven't bought a single book since the change happened that stopped me being able to buy directly from the kindle app or my old kindle 4 device.

The Kindle app is associated with whatever account is used to access it at the time so can't be accessed by two accounts, simultaneously You also can't merge or transfer content between accounts but you could look into establishing a Household and doing Family Sharing/Library between the accounts. But as I'm in Ireland we always use the British Amazon store (.uk) for everything else related to Amazon, including Prime.
